Get out & ride – informal training
rides – you choose the distance suitable for your horse.
Laura Hayes will ride & be
available for Q/A & conversation. Laura has over 6700 AERC miles in this
country (including the 1200 mile XP Ride in 2003, twice at the Big Horn, Old
Dominion, etc.) and has been on the USA support team at international
competitions including the World Cup in Barcelona, Spain. She currently serves
on the AERC Board & Chairs its Welfare Committee.
Friday –
arrive any time after 10 am; ride on own
Campfire Cowboy Cookout &
star gazing (Sky Tour with Bill Smith & 20” Dobson scope)
Saturday
– hearty country breakfast at 8 am

“vet check” – practice P&Rs,
trotting out, check strategies, etc.
10 mile loops AM & PM (picnic lunch) or

Optional afternoon touring:
Stagecoach West/Equine USA Tack Shop & Wineries or

Old Order Amish Tour (emphasizing
saddle, tack shops) & Summer Tea

Dinner at Trillium Lodge (full
menu or tavern specials)
Sunday –
ride over to Ellington Rod & Gun for Father’s Day Brunch (about 12 miles, round
trip);
$80
per person (double occupancy) [$120 single occupancy]
Stall/shed $20/horse for the weekend
