Meet in Cherry Creek at The
Depot, an 1896 restored Victorian railroad station, which features a variety
of Amish goods & books, candles, soaps, handcrafts, laces and antiques.
Proprietor Patty Frost will share history and anecdotes of her Amish neighbors
as background for the tour.
Experience Old Order Amish
culture in the township of Leon where 75% of the population is Amish. The
farms bring “Currier and Ives” scenes to life with breathtaking vistas of
rolling hills, fields, and woodlands in their spring glory! Smell the wood
fires and sweet aroma of maple sap simmering to make maple syrup!
Stop at the Quilt Shop
with its wonderful hand sewn wares or the Toy Shop with an amazing array of
old-fashioned wooden train sets, puzzles, whirly-gigs, & more.
Enjoy the Cherry Creek
Inn/Ambrosia Tea with hosts Les and Sharon Howe Sweeting. The George N.
Frost House, a beautiful Italianate Victorian built in 1864, is the perfect
setting for their sandwiches, scones & sweets Spring Tea. Make your own maple
cream for the homemade scones!

Following the conclusion of
the tour, participants may wish to visit Rustic Creations and the True Value
Hardware/Stove/Gift Shop on Main Street in Cherry Creek. The Trillium Lodge
offers fine dining as well as tavern specials.
